Nationals' Anthony Rendon is getting the night off Wednesday
Washington Nationals third baseman Anthony Rendon is getting the night off Wednesday against the Atlanta Braves.
On Tuesday night, Rendon hit his first career grand slam, but manager Dusty Baker had planned on giving Rendon a day off Wednesday and he will stick to the schedule. Wilmer Difo -- and his .259 wOBA in 37 plate appearances -- will replace him at the hot corner and hit eighth on Wednesday.
Rendon is having a nice bounce-back season, slashing .275/.355/.458 with 17 home runs, 12 stolen bases and a .349 wOBA in 563 plate appearances. We project him to hit two more taters, steal two more bases and post a .769 OPS over the remaining course of the season.
