Reds' Brandon Phillips out again on Sunday
Cincinnati Reds second baseman Brandon Phillips (foot) was scratched from the Reds' lineup again Sunday.
Phillips was scratched from the lineup on Saturday as well after fouling a ball off his foot on Friday. He is still experiencing some soreness, so he will sit out once again on Sunday. Hernan Irabarren has been called up and will start at second base on Sunday and bat eighth against Carlos Martinez.
Phillips is slashing .283/.317/.404 with a .309 wOBA across 500 plate appearances this season. He has nine homers and 53 RBI's on the year. It's a down year for Phillips, who is posting a career-worst 3.6 walk rate.
