White Sox scratch Melky Cabrera from contest with Detroit

Chicago White Sox outfielder Melky Cabrera has been scratched from Wednesday's matchup against the Detroit Tigers.

What It Means:

Cabrera was an early exit from Tuesday night's game due to dehydration and he'll take a seat for Wednesday's matinee to close out the road series at Detroit's Comerica Park. The 32-year-old outfielder is expected to be good to go Thursday to open a series with the Minnesota Twins. J.B. Shuck will start in center for the White Sox, with Avisail Garcia to his left and Adam Eaton on his right.

Cabrera is currently slashing a strong .291/.341/.436 with a wOBA of .333 and nine home runs in 513 plate appearances this season. Our algorithms expect him to add another two homers and 12 RBI's over the remaining course of the year (116 plate appearances).
