Athletics activate Billy Butler from concussion disabled list

The Oakland Athletics activated designated hitter/first baseman Billy Butler from the seven-day concussion disabled list.

What It Means:

Last weekend, Butler got in a clubhouse fight with his teammate, Danny Valencia, and suffered a concussion as a result of the tussle. Both players apologized to each other and to the Athletics organization. Butler is slashing .286/.338/.419 with four home runs and 30 RBI's in 228 plate appearances this year.

Butler owns a .326 wOBA this season, which is an improvement on the .311 mark that he posted in both 2014 and 2015. We project him to hit one more tater and post a .713 OPS over the remaining course of the season.
