Asdrubal Cabrera aggravates knee injury during Mets' contest
New York Mets shortstop Asdrubal Cabrera exited Sunday's game versus the Philadelphia Phillies with a sore left knee.
It was initially thought that Cabrera injured his arm trying to run out a bunt single at first base, but it was actually an aggravation of the knee injury that has already cost him three weeks this season. There is a chance Cabrera could once again be headed for the disabled list if the injury is bad enough.
In his first season in New York, Cabrera is slashing .269/.320/.444 with a .326 wOBA over 438 plate appearances in 2016. He has 16 homers and 42 RBI's this season, but his walk rate is a career low 5.5 percent.
