Red Sox activate Steven Wright (shoulder) to start Friday
Boston Red Sox pitcher Steven Wright (shoulder) has been activated from the 15-day disabled list and will start on Friday.
Wright's shoulder injury caused him to miss three weeks, but he said on Monday that he was pain-free, and as has been the plan for a few days now, he'll be getting the start on Friday against the Kansas City Royals.
Wright has posted a 3.01 ERA and 4.40 SIERA through 146 2/3 innings this season, as well as a 1.19 WHIP and 20.2 percent strikeout rate.
