Kyle Seager (foot) held out for second straight game for Mariners
Seattle Mariners third baseman Kyle Seager (foot) is not in the starting lineup Thursday against the Chicago White Sox.
Seager bruised his foot on Tuesday and remains out of the lineup Thursday. Manager Scott Servais is hopeful that Seager will be able to return on Friday, but he admitted the chances are 50-50. Utility man Shawn O'Malley -- and his .297 wOBA -- will replace Seager at third base on Thursday.
Seager is having an impressive season, slashing .286/.364/.515 with 24 home runs and a .369 wOBA in 528 plate appearances. We project him to hit five more taters and post an .808 OPS over the remaining course of the season.
