Alex Bregman doubles again as Astros defeat Pirates
Houston Astros third baseman Alex Bregman hit another double Wednesday in the Astros' 5-4 defeat of the Pittsburgh Pirates.
This is the ninth double (13th extra-base hit) for Bregman in his last 18 games, who is hitting well in August (.346 wOBA) after initially struggling after being promoted to the big leagues on July 25 (.094 wOBA in 24 plate appearances). Nine days ago, Bregman owned a .469 OPS, and it's now up to .694. He's worth an add in fantasy leagues for the final stretch of the season.
Bregman is now slashing .231/.283/.410 with a .297 wOBA with four home runs in 127 plate appearances on the year. We project him to hit just one more tater and post a .661 OPS over the remaining course of the season.
