Mariners recall Taijuan Walker to pitch Tuesday
Seattle Mariners pitcher Taijuan Walker has been recalled from Triple-A Tacoma to start for the Mariners on Tuesday.
Walker spent some time in the minors after getting crushed in his return from a foot injury at the beginning of the month, but he's back in the big league rotation now, getting the nod against the New York Yankees.
Walker has had some struggles this season, and is sporting a 4.10 ERA and 3.97 SIERA through 17 major league starts (90 innings). His 21.22 strikeout percentage is right in line with his 21.72 career average.
