Miguel Sano (elbow) remains out for Twins' matchup with Atlanta
Minnesota Twins third baseman/outfielder Miguel Sano (elbow) remains out of the starting lineup on Wednesday night against the Atlanta Braves.
Sano is still battling elbow discomfort and the Twins can't use him as the designated hitter with this series being played in Atlanta. Trevor Plouffe -- and his .291 wOBA this season -- will again start at third base on Wednesday.
Sano owns a solid .355 wOBA and a 122 wRC+ this season (363 plate appearances), but these totals are down from .392 and 151, respectively, from a season ago (335 plate appearances). We currently project him to hit six more taters and post an .803 OPS over the rest of the year.
