Angels put Cam Bedrosian (finger) on the disabled list
The Los Angeles Angels placed reliever Cam Bedrosian on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to August 4, with right middle finger flexor tendinitis.
Bedrosian blew a save on Wednesday against the Oakland Athletics and hasn't appeared in a game since, and now it's known why. It's unknown how the Angels plan to handle their closer situation in Bedrosian's absence. The Angles bullpen owns a combined 4.47 xFIP this season, which ranks fourth-worst.
Bedrosian has pitched well this season, posting a 1.12 ERA, 2.94 xFIP and a 31.48 strikeout percentage (league average is 21.00 percent) in 40 1/3 innings. We currently project him to record a 3.20 ERA over the rest of the year.
