Yunel Escobar scratched from Angels' Sunday lineup
Los Angeles Angels third baseman Yunel Escobar was scratched from Sunday's lineup with a sore left knee.
Escobar's knee reportedly flared up on the game-ending double-play on Saturday and it apparently isn't much better on Sunday. He missed some time earlier in the season with a similar injury, but for now he is considered day-to-day. Gregorio Petit is starting at third base and batting seventh against James Paxton Sunday afternoon.
Escobar is slashing .318/.368/.406 with a .338 wOBA over 438 plate appearances this season. He has three homers and 53 runs scored and our models project him to have a .320 wOBA with 18 more RBI's and 22 runs left this year.
