Marlins' Tom Koehler dazzles Cubs with six innings of one-run ball

Miami Marlins starting pitcher Tom Koehler tossed six innings of one-run ball Wednesday in a no-decision versus the Chicago Cubs.

What It Means:

Koehler struck out seven and yielded just one walk and five hits. He would have earned the victory for that fine performance, but Marlins closer A.J. Ramos let up three runs in the bottom of the ninth inning to blow the game. Koehler has strung together four really good starts, and up next is an outing at home against the San Francisco Giants.

Our models project Koehler for a 4.44 ERA, 1.54 WHIP, 15.87 percent strikeout rate, and 10.71 percent walk rate in 58 2/3 more innings pitched this season.
