Two-run blast from Salvador Perez carries Royals to victory
Kansas City Royals catcher Salvador Perez lifted the Royals to a 3-2 win over the Tampa Bay Rays when he blasted a two-run home run in the seventh inning on Tuesday.
Perez has been very quiet since the All-Star break, with only two home runs and six RBI's in 16 games, but he picked a timely spot for a bounce-back on Tuesday.
Perez is slashing .268/.302/.476 with a .329 wOBA in 367 plate appearances, his best since 2013, and is sporting a 0.51 nERD (133rd in the bigs). We project him to tally 7 more home runs, another 20 more runs scored and 26 additional RBI's with a .320 wOBA in 194 plate appearances over the remainder of the season.
