Blue Jays acquire Scott Feldman from Astros
The Houston Astros have traded pitcher Scott Feldman to the Toronto Blue Jays, according to MLB.com's Brian McTaggart.
Feldman posted a 2.90 ERA and a 15.85 strikeout percentage (league average is 21.00 percent) in 62 innings (five starts, 21 relief appearances) this season with the Astros. He'll likely serve in a middle relief role for the Blue Jays, who own the ninth-best team bullpen xFIP (3.97) this season.
Feldman's 4.21 xFIP is more than a point higher than his ERA. We currently project him to record a 4.15 ERA and a 13.19 strikeout percentage over the rest of the year.
