Yoenis Cespedes (quad) out of lineup as Mets battle Colorado
New York Mets outfielder Yoenis Cespedes (quad) is absent from the lineup Sunday.
The Mets explained Cespedes' departure from Saturday's contest as being for "precautionary reasons." He remains less than 100 percent as he continues to be hampered by a quad ailment that has bothered him for a while now. Michael Conforto, Alejandro De Aza and Brandon Nimmo are in the outfield, as Curtis Granderson is also sidelined.
Cespedes owns an impressive .385 wOBA and 22 home runs in 370 plate appearances this season. Our models project him to hit .287/.358/.516 with 10 taters and a .369 wOBA in 212 appearances at the plate over the remaining course of the year.
