Austin Shenton shifting to bench for Rays Monday
The Tampa Bay Rays did not list Austin Shenton as a starter for Monday's game against the Los Angeles Angels.
What It Means:
Shenton will take a seat Monday while the Rays work Amed Rosario's right-handed bat into the lineup to take on Angels lefty Tyler Anderson. Yandy Diaz will cover first base for Shenton.
The rookie notched the first two hits of his career against the Rockies on Sunday, including an RBI double. He should keep getting chances with the Rays for now.
