Tigers' Javier Baez riding pine Sunday
The Detroit Tigers did not list Javier Baez in their lineup for Sunday's game against the Oakland Athletics.
What It Means:
Baez will take a seat on Sunday while the Tigers work Zach McKinstry into the lineup at shortstop and have him hit eighth.
Baez has been struggling at the plate again this season, batting .154 with a 29.6% strikeout rate and a 0% walk rate. If his struggles continue to this degree he could be without a job before too much longer.
