Houston options A.J. Reed back to Triple-A
The Houston Astros have optioned first baseman A.J. Reed to Triple-A Oklahoma City.
What It Means:
The Astros called Reed up in late June, but he really struggled through his stint in the majors, with more than twice as many strikeouts (19) as hits (7).
Reed only managed a -0.39 nERD, while hitting an ugly .156/.250/.289 with a .242 wOBA.
