Cubs activate David Ross off concussion disabled list

Chicago Cubs catcher David Ross was activated from the seven-day concussion disabled list.

What It Means:

Ross will be on the bench Friday against the Texas Rangers, with Willson Contreras filling in behind the plate again. Ross was forced to miss a few games going into the All-Star break, due to getting hit in the mask off a hard foul tip.

Ross owns a .317 wOBA and .439 slugging percentage in 135 plate appearances this season. He has six home runs and 23 RBI's, while our models currently project him to post a .308 wOBA with three dingers and nine RBI's over the remainder of the season.
