David Wright (neck) moved to Mets' 60-day disabled list
New York Mets third baseman David Wright was transferred (neck) to the 60-day disabled list.
The Mets needed to make a move in order to add Jose Reyes to the active roster. Wright's herniated disc might keep him out for the entire season. Wilmer Flores and Reyes -- who has yet to appear in a Major League game this season -- will split time at third base while Wright sidelined.
Wright was off to a solid start to the season, posting a .344 wOBA in 164 plate appearances, paired with a .212 ISO, which would have been his highest mark since the 2010 season. The anemic offense of the Mets (they rank third-to-last in runs scored this season) could use Wright's bat.
