Royals' Wade Davis headed to 15-day disabled list with forearm strain

Kansas City Royals pitcher Wade Davis was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a strained right forearm.

What It Means:

While it will be difficult to replace Davis' production, Kelvin Herrera becomes a must-add with the 30-year-old reliever on the shelf.

Davis has 19 saves in 21 chances this season, twirling a superb 1.23 ERA and 1.02 WHIP across 29 1/3 innings of work. His 24.14 strikeout percentage is a step up from his 20.80 career-mark.
