Tigers hoping to get Daniel Norris back after break
The Detroit Tigers are "hopeful" that pitcher Daniel Norris (oblique strain) will be back shortly after the All-Star break, according to Fox Sports' Jon Morosi.
The recovery time for an oblique strain is typically around a month, but the Tigers are optimistic Norris will be able to beat that itinerary. Buck Farmer replaced him on the active roster, with he and Matt Boyd serving as the two most likely candidates to replace Norris on the mound on Saturday against the Toronto Blue Jays.
Though it has only been four games, Norris has looked good in the majors this year, posting a 3.40 SIERA. He owns a 4.85 ERA and 1.54 WHIP across 13 innings of work.
