Gregory Polanco returns to Pirates' lineup after three games on bench
Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Gregory Polanco (leg) is back in the starting lineup for Tuesday night's showdown against the Seattle Mariners. He'll serve as the club's designated hitter and will bat second against Hisashi Iwakuma and the M's. Polanco did not start the past three games while battling discomfort in his left leg.
Polanco will be handling responsibilities as the team's designated hitter, stepping up to the plate second versus Hisashi Iwakuma and the Mariners. Discomfort in Polanco's left leg has kept the 24-year-old out of the Pirates' starting lineup for the past three contests.
Polanco ranks 45th in the majors with a 1.92 nERD. He has posted career-highs with a .369 wOBA and .296/.375/.515 slash across 302 plate appearances so far this season.
