Anibal Sanchez remains out of rotation for Tigers
Detroit Tigers pitcher Anibal Sanchez will continue working out of the bullpen, announced Tigers manager Brad Ausmus.
Sanchez was torched by the Cleveland Indians in a spot start for Michael Fulmer over the weekend and it appears he will maintain a relief role while trying to work out of his slump.
As a starter this year, the 32-year-old right-hander holds a 6.67 ERA and 1.68 WHIP across 56 2/3 innings with a 4-8 record (12 outings). Our models currently project him to twirl a 4.83 ERA and 1.39 WHIP in 82 innings over the remainder of the season.
