Myles Straw sitting Thursday for Guardians
Cleveland Guardians outfielder Myles Straw is not in the lineup for Thursday's series opener against right-hander Grayson Rodriguez and the Baltimore Orioles.
Straw went 1-for-3 with a double, an RBI, and a strikeout in Wednesday's series finale against the Kansas City Royals, but he continues to alternate starts in the outfield. Ramon Laureano and Will Brennan will start in the grass with Steven Kwan on Thursday.
numberFire’s models project Laureano ($2,600) for 8.7 and Brennan ($2,500) for 7.9 FanDuel points on Thursday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Guardians' implied total is a deflated 3.62 and the game total is 8.0. Rodriguez has a middling 4.53 ERA and 4.38 xERA in his first MLB season, with a 24.8% strikeout rate (top 62nd percentile) and mediocre 8.3% walk rate. The rookie's 44.6% hard-hit rate is in the bottom 13th percentile among qualified pitchers.
