Pirates' Andrew McCutchen blasts two home runs on Saturday
Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Andrew McCutchen hit two home runs and drove in four RBI's as the Pirates bested the Los Angeles Dodgers 6-1 on Saturday.
McCutchen hit a solo homer in the fourth inning, then a three-run blast in the sixth to carry the Pirates to victory. He has been in a horrific slump this season, and June hasn't been much better. Even after his hot day at the plate on Saturday, he is hitting just .207 in the month of June (17-for-82). Hopefully this is a sign of things to come though, as he is 4-for-11 in his last three games.
McCutchen has a career-worst slash across the board, hitting .243/.320/.423 in 316 plate appearances this season. He's accumulated 12 home runs, 32 RBI's and two steals on the year. Our models project him to slash .252/.336/.434 with 12 home runs, 44 RBI's and four stolen bases over the remainder of the season.
