Red Sox give Justin Turner Monday night off
The Boston Red Sox did not list Justin Turner as a starter for Monday's game against the Texas Rangers.
What It Means:
Turner will catch a breather on Monday while the Red Sox bring in Luis Urias to play second base and bat eighth. Trevor Story will fill in for Turner at designated hitter.
Turner has been having yet another strong season. His first year with the Red Sox has yielded 23 home runs, 84 runs, 94 RBI, 4 stolen bases, and a .819 OPS through 589 plate appearances.
