Yankees' Oswald Peraza (knee) sidelined Tuesday in early game

New York Yankees infielder Oswald Peraza (knee) is not in the lineup for Game 1 of Tuesday's doubleheader against right-hander Nick Pivetta and the Boston Red Sox.

What It Means:

Peraza has been considered day-to-day with a knee issue that has kept him out since Sunday. Isiah Kiner-Falefa will cover third base in the first game Tuesday while Oswaldo Cabrera takes a seat. Estevan Florial will start in center field and hit seventh. Peraza might be able to return for the second half of the doubleheader.

numberFire’s models project IKF ($5,000) for 9.8 FanDuel points on the single-game slate Tuesday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Yankees' implied total is 4.40 and the game total is 9.5. Pivetta is striking out an elite number of batters this season (30.4%), but he's also yielding a high amount of hard hits (45.2%) and handing out walks consistently (9.5%).
