David Peralta (wrist) sitting for Dodgers Monday

The Los Angeles Dodgers did not list David Peralta (wrist) as a starter for Monday's game against the San Diego Padres.

What It Means:

Peralta appears to have avoided a serious injury after taking a foul pitch to the wrist, but will not play tonight against the Padres. Chris Taylor will cover left field, Max Muncy will play at third base, and J.D. Martinez will bat fifth as the designated hitter.

Peralta has made 374 plate appearances so far this season, with 7 homers, 42 runs, 50 RBI, and a .271 batting average.
