Edmundo Sosa absent in early game Monday for Phillies
Philadelphia Phillies infielder Edmundo Sosa is not in the lineup for Game 1 on Monday afternoon against right-hander Charlie Morton and the Atlanta Braves.
Sosa is taking a seat for the first game after he went 0-for-4 with 2 strikeouts in Sunday's series finale against the Miami Marlins. Alec Bohm is starting on third base and Bryce Harper is manning first base while Kyle Schwarber takes care of the designated hitter role. Jake Cave is starting in left field and hitting eighth in Game 1 on Monday afternoon.
numberFire’s models project Cave ($4,500) for 8.4 FanDuel points on Monday's single-game slate. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Phillies' implied total is 4.40 and the game total is 9.5. Morton has a 3.32 ERA in front of a poor 4.63 xERA this season, with a 38.6% hard-hit rate, 25.5% strikeout rate, and elevated 10.9% walk rate (bottom 17th percentile of MLB).
