Steven Moya's two homers leads Tigers to victory
Detroit Tigers outfielder Steven Moya hit two solo home runs to lead Detroit to a 5-1 victory over the Seattle Mariners on Wednesday.
Moya's rookie season continues to be stellar after Wednesday. He finished his day 3-for-4 scoring three runs and posting two RBI's. He is still striking out a lot (27.8 strikeout rate) but the 6'6 rookie is going to hit a lot of home runs with his power.
Moya is hitting .321/.333/.623 with three home runs and five RBI's on 53 at bats. He has a .397 wOBA this season, but our models are expecting some regression from Moya after his hot start. We project him to post a .289 wOBA with four homers and 18 RBI's remaining this year.
