Santiago Espinal sitting for Blue Jays Friday
Toronto Blue Jays infielder Santiago Espinal is not in the lineup for Friday's series opener against right-hander Chris Flexen and the Colorado Rockies.
Espinal started the last two games and recorded multiple hits in both contests. Davis Schneider is shifting to third base and Whit Merrifield is moving to second. Daulton Varsho is taking care of left field while Kevin Kiermaier starts in center field and bats ninth.
