Bo Bichette (quad) sidelined Monday for Blue Jays
Toronto Blue Jays infielder Bo Bichette (quad) is not in the lineup for Monday's series opener against right-hander Josiah Gray and the Washington Nationals.
What It Means:
Bichette is undergoing an MRI on Monday after he was removed from Sunday's series finale against the Cleveland Guardians due to right quadricep tightness. Ernie Clement is replacing Bichette at shortstop and hitting eighth after he was called up Monday to replace Matt Chapman (finger) on the active roster. George Springer is batting leadoff in place of Bichette.
