Joey Wiemer joining Brewers bench Wednesday
Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Joey Wiemer is not in the lineup on Wednesday afternoon against right-hander Kenta Maeda and the Minnesota Twins.
Wiemer was a late addition to Tuesday's lineup and he went 0-for-3 with a walk drawn. Tyrone Taylor will move to center field and Mark Canha will shift to right field on Wednesday afternoon. William Contreras will start at designated hitter and Victor Caratini will catch for Corbin Burnes. Sal Frelick remains sidelined with a hamstring issue.
numberFire’s models project Caratini ($2,600) for 7.0 FanDuel points on Wednesday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Brewers' implied total is 3.99 and the game total is a deflated 7.5. Maeda has a 4.13 ERA and 3.73 xERA this season, with a 43.2% hard-hit rate, 28.9% strikeout rate, and 6.3% walk rate. He's giving up a fair amount of hard hits, but Maeda is also punching out plenty of hitters and limiting his walks.
