David Ortiz not in Boston's Tuesday lineup
Boston Red Sox designated hitter David Ortiz is not in the lineup on Tuesday against the Chicago White Sox.
With lefty-sensation Chris Sale on the hill for the White Sox, Boston has opted to give the veteran slugger a day off. Hanley Ramirez will serve as the designated hitter, while Travis Shaw will play first base and Deven Marrero will play third.
Ortiz is retiring after this season, but his numbers say he might need to reconsider that. He owns a .454 wOBA with 18 homers and 59 RBI's over 270 plate appearances. Our models project him to keep it up too, with a .392 wOBA, 20 home runs and 64 RBI's remaining this season.
