Jarren Duran (toe) sidelined Monday for Red Sox
Boston Red Sox outfielder Jarren Duran (toe) is not in the lineup for Monday's series opener against right-hander Cristian Javier and the Houston Astros.
Duran was removed from Sunday's win over the New York Yankees with a left toe contusion. He's expected to avoid a trip to the injured list, but the Red Sox are holding Duran out for at least one contest. Masataka Yoshida will move to left field and hit third Monday while Trevor Story starts at designated hitter. Luis Urias is entering the lineup to play second base and bat ninth. Pablo Reyes will be responsible for shortstop.
numberFire’s models project Urias ($2,200) for 7.3 FanDuel points on Monday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Red Sox's implied total is 4.33 and the game total is 9.0. Javier has a 4.49 ERA and 4.63 xERA this season, with a 37.7% hard-hit rate, 21.8% strikeout rate, and 8.2% walk rate.
