Justin Turner resting Thursday for Red Sox
Boston Red Sox infielder Justin Turner is not in the lineup for Thursday afternoon's series finale against left-hander Patrick Corbin and the Washington Nationals.
Turner is currently limited to designated hitter work while he deals with a bone bruise in his left heel, but he will take a seat for the matinee after starting the past four games. Trevor Story will take over at DH and hit third on Thursday. Pablo Reyes will start at shortstop and hit sixth while Luis Urias will man second base and bat ninth. Rafael Devers will move up a spot and hit second.
numberFire’s models project Reyes ($2,100) for 9.1 FanDuel points on Thursday, making him one of our better values among batters. Per the MLB Heat Map, the Red Sox's implied total is 5.40, second-highest on the board, and the game total is 9.5. Corbin has a 4.85 ERA and 6.42 xERA (bottom 3rd percentile of MLB) this season, with a 45.1% hard-hit rate (bottom 10th), 15.0% strikeout rate (bottom 4th), and 7.2% walk rate.
