C.J. Cron batting fifth Monday for Angels

Los Angeles Angels infielder C.J. Cron will start on first base and bat fifth Monday's series opener against right-hander Logan Webb and the San Francisco Giants.

What It Means:

Cron hit third in his first six games with the Angels after being acquired at last week's trade deadline. He went 5-for-23 with 3 RBI, 4 runs scored, 3 walks, and 4 strikeouts in that stretch. Brandon Drury will bat third again Monday and Randal Grichuk will drop from fifth to the bottom of the order.

numberFire’s models project Cron ($3,200) for 9.5 FanDuel points on Monday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Angels' implied total is 4.11 and the game total is 8.5. Webb has a solid 3.45 ERA and 3.57 xERA this season, but his 46.0% hard-hit rate is in the bottom 7th percentile of the majors.
