Corey Julks joining Astros bench Thursday

Houston Astros outfielder Corey Julks is not in the lineup on Thursday against right-hander Clarke Schmidt and the New York Yankees.

What It Means:

Julks will move back to the bench for the second time in three games after going hitless again on Wednesday. Jake Meyers will return to center field and hit eighth while Chas McCormick will move to left field. Yordan Alvarez will work as the Astros' designated hitter.

numberFire’s models project McCormick ($3,400) for 10.3 FanDuel points on Thursday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Astros' implied total is 4.25 and the game total is 8.5. Schmidt has a 4.38 ERA and 4.28 xERA this season, with a 43.4% hard-hit rate, 21.9% strikeout rate, and 6.4% walk rate.
