Cubs' Mike Tauchman taking Sunday off
The Chicago Cubs did not list Mike Tauchman as a starter for Sunday's game against the St. Louis Cardinals.
What It Means:
Tauchman will move to the bench Sunday while Trey Mancini returns to the lineup at first base and bats seventh. Cody Bellinger will move from first base to centerfield.
Tauchman has found surprising success in his season with the Cubs. The journeyman is batting .270 with 5 homers, 35 runs, 34 RBI, 3 stolen bases and a .771 OPS through 217 plate appearances.
