Yandy Diaz absent for Rays Wednesday
Tampa Bay Rays infielder Yandy Diaz is not in the lineup on Wednesday against right-hander Pablo Lopez and the Minnesota Twins.
The Rays appear to be giving Diaz a routine breather. Luke Raley will take over on first base and bat cleanup while Randy Arozarena will handle the designated hitter role. Josh Lowe and Manuel Margot will start in the corner outfield spots.
numberFire’s models project Raley ($3,100) for 7.4 FanDuel points on Wednesday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Rays' implied total is 4.43 and the game total is 8.5. Lopez has a 4.54 ERA and 1.16 WHIP this season, with a 29.1% strikeout rate and 7.1% walk rate. His punchout rate is fourth-best among Wednesday's listed starters.
