Tucupita Marcano taking seat Wednesday for Pirates
Pittsburgh Pirates infielder Tucupita Marcano is not in the lineup for Wednesday afternoon's series finale against left-hander Hogan Harris and the Oakland Athletics.
The left-handed hitting Marcano will take a seat versus the Athletics' rookie southpaw. Rodolfo Castro will cover shortstop and hit sixth while Mark Mathias enters the lineup to play second base and bat seventh. Andrew McCutchen will move into the leadoff spot in place of Marcano.
Per numberFire's MLB Heat Map, the Pirates' implied total is a healthy 5.34 on Wednesday and the game total is 9.5. Through Harris' first 10 1/3 innings in the majors, he has yielded 8 runs on 7 hits with 10 strikeouts and 6 walks. Mathias has a $4,000 salary on the single-game slate Wednesday afternoon and is our models top point-per-dollar value in the contest. Castro has a $5,500 salary and is the second-best value on our board.
