Rodolfo Castro cleaning up Wednesday for Pittsburgh
Pittsburgh Pirates infielder Rodolfo Castro will start on second base and bat cleanup in Wednesday afternoon's series finale against left-hander Alex Wood and the San Francisco Giants.
Castro will move up three spots in the order after he went 2-for-3 with a run scored in Tuesday's narrow victory. It will be his fourth straight start as Carlos Santana (back) remains idle.
Per numberFire's MLB Heat Map, the Pirates' implied total is fifth-lowest on Wednesday at 3.92 and the game total is 8.0. Wood has a 3.51 ERA and 1.44 WHIP this season, with a 22.4% strikeout rate and 11.2% walk rate. Castro has a $2,500 salary and our models project him for 9.6 FanDuel points.
