Leonys Martin may return for Mariners on Friday
Seattle Mariners outfielder Leonys Martin (hamstring) is on track to be activated from the disabled list Friday.
Martin will participate in a simulated game Wednesday before playing in a real minor league rehab game on Thursday. If that all goes well, look for him to rejoin the Mariners' starting lineup Friday night against the Texas Rangers. Martin has been on the disabled list since May 27 with a strained left hamstring.
Through 145 at bats this season, Martin has hit nine home runs and is slashing .262/.339/.483. His wOBA of .352 is easily on pace to be a career high for a full season.
