New York Mets catcher Francisco Alvarez is in the lineup against right-hander Derek Law and the Cincinnati Reds in Thursday afternoon's series finale.

Alvarez will catch for Kodai Senga and bat ninth in a day game after a night game as he makes a fifth straight start. The Mets placed catcher Tomas Nido on the 10-day injured list Wednesday, retroactive to May 7, with dry eye syndrome. Michael Perez replaced Nido on the active roster.
