Diamondbacks moving Edwin Escobar to bullpen
Arizona Diamondbacks manager Chip Hale said Monday that pitcher Edwin Escobar is being moved to the bullpen.
What It Means:
It's understandable, as Escobar gave up 12 runs (11 earned) in seven innings over two starts. The Diamondbacks have yet to announce who will start Saturday against the Miami Marlins.
We're not impressed with him either, as our algorithms project Escobar for a 5.21 ERA, 1.54 WHIP, and 14.8 strikeout rate in 31 1/3 more innings pitched this year.
