Nationals option Trea Turner back to minors
The Washington Nationals optioned shortstop Trea Turner back to Triple-A Syracuse.
What It Means:
Turner was just up for the weekend while Ryan Zimmerman was on paternity leave. He ended his short stint in the majors playing in only one game, but he was 3-for-3 with a double on Friday. Expect him to be back with the Nationals at some point this season, especially if Danny Espinosa continues to struggle.
