Archie Bradley pitches a gem, but Diamondbacks' offense comes up empty

Arizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Archie Bradley struck out 10 while spinning six frames of one-run ball but was saddled with a loss against the Chicago Cubs on Friday.

What It Means:

And the one run he was charged with wasn't really his fault, as Chris Owings misplayed a ball in center field that resulted in an Anthony Rizzo RBI double. Bradley did issue three walks, but he allowed just four hits and this was a very encouraging performance from the young right-hander. He's put up two impressive showings since getting another shot in the Diamondbacks' rotation and they'll keep rolling him out there as long as he keeps performing. He needs to be owned in mixed leagues again. Bradley takes on the Tampa Bay Rays next week.

Bradley is now 2-1 in four starts on the year, earning a 4.94 ERA across 23 2/3 total innings. He's currently striking out 9.51 batters every nine frames.
