Hunter Pence (hamstring) likely to miss two months for Giants

San Francisco Giants right fielder Hunter Pence is expected to need surgery on his right hamstring, which would sideline him for eight weeks.

What It Means:

The hamstring tendon near the back of Pence's knee was torn completely off the bone on Wednesday and it's obviously a massive blow for the Giants. They'll go with a combination of Jarrett Parker, Mac Williamson, Kelby Tomlinson and possibly Brandon Belt in the outfield to replace Pence, although it wouldn't be a surprise to see them seek help from outside the organization.

Pence played in just 52 games last season, and he's dealing with injuries again in 2016. He's produced when he's been on the field, posting a .374 wOBA with seven bombs and 36 RBI's in 208 plate appearances this season.
